Big bowl of ice filled water, and two ziplock bags, one surrounded in lard, the other without.
Children first put their hand into the water with the regular bag to feel how cold it is,
and then try the bag with lard to feel the temperature difference.
We explained that this is how blubber works and how arctic animals stay warm in the water!
